라트비아에서 교환여행을 시작하면서 저는 설렘과 긴장이 교차하는 마음을 지울 수 없었습니다. 이 경험이 내 인생의 전환점이 될 줄은 꿈에도 몰랐습니다. 결코 불가능하다고 생각했던 방식으로 나에게 도전하는 자기 발견의 여정이 될 줄은 꿈에도 몰랐습니다.
라트비아의 수도 리가에 도착한 순간부터 나는 그 아름다움과 매력에 놀랐다. 조약돌 거리와 고딕 양식의 첨탑이 있는 도시의 역사 지구는 동화 속 이야기가 현실로 다가오는 듯한 느낌을 주었습니다. 하지만 곧 알게 된 것은 라트비아에는 그림처럼 아름다운 풍경 외에도 더 많은 것이 있다는 것이었습니다.
라트비아 사람들은 따뜻하고 환영해 주었고 저는 그들 사이에 있는 듯한 편안함을 금방 느꼈습니다. 특히 저의 호스트 가족은 믿을 수 없을 정도로 친절하고 협조적이어서 머무는 동안 편안함과 지원을 받을 수 있었습니다. 그들은 나에게 그들의 생활 방식, 전통, 관습을 소개했고 나는 그들의 문화가 얼마나 풍부하고 활기 넘치는지 놀랐습니다.

From the moment I arrived in Riga, the capital city of Latvia, I was struck by its beauty and charm. The city's historic center, with its cobblestone streets and Gothic spires, felt like a fairytale come to life. But as I soon discovered, there was more to Latvia than just its picturesque landscapes.
The people of Latvia are warm and welcoming, and I quickly felt at home among them. My host family, in particular, was incredibly kind and accommodating, making sure I felt comfortable and supported throughout my stay. They introduced me to their way of life, their traditions and customs, and I was amazed at how rich and vibrant their culture was.
